Introduction

I was introduced to sustainable living choices as a child.  My grandmother has always composted her egg shells, banana peels and coffee grinds in her back yard.  As a child I thought it was weird and disgusting.  As an adult I realize that was the turning point for me - I can now see how just the little things, like not wasting items, but instead using "trash" to make fertilizer, laid the foundation for my future love of sustainability and the environment.
We can apply sustainable ideas and methods to our personal life as well as our businesses.  In this blog I will discuss my experiences at home (such as the new composter I'm working on), as well as looking at how sustainability is not only good for the environment, but great for your bottom line.  This blog will discuss everything green, sustainable and socially responsible.  I look forward to building a relationship with my readers and hopefully providing some basic tools you can use in your everyday life.
Thanks!
